- 6. Can I just drop my pet off in the morning and pick him up after work?
-
We do occasionally allow owners to drop their pets off in the morning and to pick up later that evening, but we only allow this if there is a situation that calls for it. Please call us first to arrange this type of appointment.
- 7. Do you have someone there all night to check on my hospitalized pet?
-
We do not have staff at the hospital after hours. We hospitalize stable patients overnight, while the more critical patients we refer to a 24 hour emergency facility.
- 8. How old does my pet need to be before being spayed or neutered?
-
Your pet can be spayed or neutered as early as four months of age.
- 9. Is declawing my kitten cruel? When should it be done?
-
Declawing your kitten is not cruel when the pain and discomfort are managed properly. We control the discomfort with pain medication and laser surgery. The laser allows most pets to recover pain free. We recommend that the declawing be done after four months of age but before adulthood. We can perform the declawing procedure at the same time your kitten is here to be spayed or neutered.
